New Member Guide

Welcome to Plein Air Painting.   We are a friendly group and encourage new members even those who have never done plein air painting, or any other type of painting, to join us.  A lot of equipment is not essential. Some of our members create pencil drawings and thus only require a sketchbook and pencil.  Later, the addition of a small watercolor set can be added for watercolor painting.   Our members can be a great resource regarding other tools and equipment.

If you are not sure this is for you, we encourage you to join us for one or two events even if it is just to see what we do and how we do it. You can join later if you wish.  The only activities non-members cannot participate in are the year-end juried show and our annual retreat.

Some members find people who wish to carpool.

So again we encourage you to join us.  We meet at 9 am and share our work at 12:30 (unless noted).

Our Vistas & Vineyards 2026 membership is $40 and runs from April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027.
